So... the matrix is dead.
WoWMatrix, the 'one lazy-ass click and you get all your mods updated in one fell swoop' program/app... is no more... or at very least life has become a helluvalot more difficult for its users.
In a brazen move, both Curse Gaming and WoWInterface brought the hammer down on wowmatrix, issuing a joint statement and fixing their sites so that the matrix can't leech their posted mods (and bandwidth) anymore.
'Good for them!' I say.
This affects Ol' Blade NOT ONE SINGLE IOTA.
Why? Ol' Blade downloads each and every app (and update) he uses *from the site of origin*.
Hell... I even backtrack it as far back to a source as I can... and click on an ad when I get there.
That's just good business... Ol' Blade tips his servers, too: 15 to 20%.
The mods are a service - and their free... so I can suck it up and click on an advertisement (and then shut the browser when I'm done)... my spyware and security software stops any of the crap from getting through, so no harm, no foul.
I hate to say "I told you so..." so I won't... I'll let others do my egocentric strutting and boasting for me... (Please, gentle, reader, allow Ol' Blade his customary /snicker, though...)
